Background

Punit works in the financial services industry and originally had a financial advisor who advised him to save into a list of diversified funds & ETFs, but upon checking his balance before the COVID pandemic of 2020, Punit realised his investments had only increased around 6-7% / year which he was really disappointed as the market had done better than that. Punit first met Alpesh during at an event at whilst at university and decided to learn the Great Investments Programme after seeing other students speak about the Programme

Journey

Punit said simplicity is key when trying to learn new skills and that with the Great Investments Programme, simplicity is key. He found the programme resources well structured, easy to understand and well thought out. “Almost too easy to be honest!” he said. He got through the programme in around 2 weeks and liked that the learning materials are an ‘all-in-one’ solution – rather than go to several sources, he said it’s easy to just go to one place instead of researching sources of information himself.

Results

Punit has increased his investments by 25% year to date. Having started the program mid Q1 this year, he was able to apply Alpesh’s knowledge to analyse other stocks, one of which returned a whopping 200%+ and then using that Risk management techniques learnt he kept the gains before the stock retreated in price. Punit plans to build his pension pot. Punit said, “Just do it, don’t hesitate. It’s really simple, the results are proven. If you want to test his knowledge, Alpesh will show you up. It’s good to have someone that knowledgeable in the toolbox.” He said his most significant learning point is the way he has his portfolio structured running 8-9 strategies, always looking at how it overlaps. For example, when building your portfolio everyone says diversify but the way Alpesh explains it from a perspective of risk and strategy not just simple a large number of shares as typically told to! “Investing in shares instead of funds works!”
